Position Summary
As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Subaru and other vehicles according to manufacturer specifications and dealership standards. The ideal candidate is a strong team player who can work effectively with fellow technicians, service advisors, parts personnel, and management while maintaining a commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose vehicle concerns using advanced diagnostic tools and testing equipment
Perform maintenance, warranty, and repair services efficiently and accurately
Complete repairs according to manufacturer and dealership procedures
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Communicate repair findings and recommendations clearly to service advisors and management
Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and a customer-focused attitude
Conduct road tests to verify repair quality and vehicle performance
Participate in ongoing technical training and certification programs

Qualifications

Proven ability to diagnose and repair automotive mechanical and electrical systems
Prior dealership or automotive repair experience preferred
Subaru certification preferred
ASE Certification is a plus
Factory training preferred but not required
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to lift, bend, stand for extended periods, and safely operate shop equipment and tools
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred

What You'll Do
As a Service Technician, you'll play a critical role in delivering excellent service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities Include:

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and performance concerns using advanced diagnostic equipment and testing procedures
Perform repairs, maintenance, and warranty work according to Chevrolet and GM standards
Complete repair orders accurately, efficiently, and with a focus on quality
Conduct multi-point inspections and recommend additional service needs when appropriate
Road test vehicles to verify concerns and ensure repairs are completed correctly
Collaborate with service advisors, parts personnel, fellow technicians, and management to provide an exceptional customer experience
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Document diagnostic findings and repair recommendations clearly and accurately
Stay current with GM technology, service procedures, and training requirements
Follow all dealership and manufacturer policies, procedures, and safety standards
What We're Looking ForQualifications:

Experience as an Automotive Service Technician required
Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair skills
Ability to perform maintenance, warranty, and repair work efficiently and accurately
ASE Certification preferred
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

i.g. Burton Automotive Group is looking for a reliable, professional parts counterperson to purchase, sell, store and issue parts within our busy dealership. The ideal candidate should  be good at ordering parts and maintaining inventory, but will also need excellent people skills when dealing with customers and internal staff. Determine needs and accurately specify parts accordingly
Create and modify purchase orders
Issue purchase orders to appropriate vendor to order parts
Record warranty parts returned
Create special ordered parts on dealership computer system and notify ASM, technician or client upon receipt

Process and close open invoices
Compare invoices against requisitions to verify quality and quantity of merchandise received

i.g Burton Chevrolet in Seaford is looking to add a qualified, experienced auto service technician to fulfill repair, warranty, and maintenance orders on GM vehicles.
Teamwork with other technicians, service advisors, parts department, service manager, and at times, customer interaction is essential. Body Shop Estimator - Sussex County, DE
i.g. Burton's Auto Group Collision Center's is looking for na semi experienced estimator with a willingness to grow in the industry. The right candidate will Interact with new and existing customers and create trust, write the estimate for repair, track vehicle through production, interact with insurance adjusters and write supplemental estimates once the vehicle has been torn down and other deficiencies are found.  Must be reliable, have a positive attitude, and have great communication skills.
Responsibilities Include:

Handling Insurance accounts
Ordering parts
Updating customers on claims
Writing walk in customer estimates
Reviewing repairs and closing claims when customer picks up vehicle 
Body Shop Estimator Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid state driver’s license with good driving record.
Prior detailing experience preferred, but will train the right person.
Attention to detail with excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including walking, crouching, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Willingness to comply with all company policies and uphold standards for service quality.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and background check.
