Commercial Fleet Sales Manager - Berlin, MD

i.g. Burton and Company is currently hiring an experienced Commercial Fleet Sales Manager. The Commercial Fleet Sales Manager has the opportunity to identify, consult and sell vehicles to fleet and commercial account customers and is responsible for business development, operations, sales performance results, inventory management, and customer satisfaction.  This role will work within the business community and local government agencies to build relationships and drive vehicle purchase programs in a business-to-business environment.  The goal is to create an exceptional vehicle-buying experience to build customer loyalty and referrral business. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the sales of Fleet and Commercial vehicles for the organization
  • Visit prospective customers to stimulate interest in establishing or expanding vehicle fleet and commercial purchases
  • Answer and respond to sales inquiries and/or requests for proposals promptly to obtain business
  • Prepare contracts and oversee the purchase process to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Manage finance and delivery paperwork
  • Oversee logistics of vehicle acquisition and delivery to customers
  • Ensures that the fleet units sold produce sufficient gross to aid the dealership in reaching its objectives on a monthly & yearly basis
  • Develops merchandising strategies and assists in creating an efficient, cost effective advertising program

Job Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Fleet and Commercial sales
  • Fleet sales finance knowledge preferred
  • General Motors and FCA manufacturer experience preferred
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, and the ability to understand profit and loss statements
  • Basic MS Office knowledge; computer software and internet proficiency
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • Managers are required to stay current with federal, state, and local regulations affecting their operations and comply with them
