Service Advisor

i.g. Burton Bus and Truck Center is searching for an experienced Service Advisor who is motivated to excel and serious about a career in the truck and transportation industry. If you have automotive or truck experience and are passionate about customer service, this opportunity is for you! This is a challenging position which requires the ability to multi-task at a fast pace, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • Answer phones and greet service customers in a pleasant and professional manner
  • Handle phone inquiries and schedule appointments for service customers
  • Help identify a mechanical problem by questioning the customer
  • Provide a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.
  • Check on progress of repairs throughout the day. Contact customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time and get proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
  • Review repair orders to ensure that work is completed, and additional work and authorization is noted.
  • Close repair order as appropriate and collect payment for all repair orders
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction standards.
  • Maintains a high level of knowledge for all Blue Bird and related manufacturer warranty coverage, campaigns, TSB's, and product concerns.

Qualifications / Experience

2 to 4 years of related experience. Current or former technicians are encouraged to apply.  You must have exceptional communication, computer and typing skills.  Familiarity with Excel and Word is preferred.
