Shipping and Receiving Clerk - Milford, DE

i.g. Burton Auto Group is seeking a professional that will be responsible for incoming and outgoing shipments relative to UPS, FedEx, Blue Bird and various other vendors. Unpacks and inspects incoming deliveries, verifying description and quantity, accuracy and condition of items received. Determines correct storage location for new parts and puts them away on the day received. Maintains a clean and organized warehouse.

Responsibilities:

• Receive deliveries from carriers (UPS, FedEx, Blue Bird, etc.) verifying the total number of cartons and checking for visible damage prior to signing.
• Catalog inventory and put away in the proper bin location.
• Keep all bins, aisles and storage areas clean and clearly labeled
• Prepare items for shipment
• Data entry
• Follow safety and security standards and procedures
• Deliver packages to the proper departments if other than Parts.
• Assist in re-organizing stocking areas to best use the available space.
• Assist delivery or route drivers with loading or unloading as necessary or requested.
• Maintain work area in a clean and efficient manner.
• Assist with warranty returns and scrapping.
• Recycle cardboard and trash when required. 

Minimum Requirements:

• Shipping / Receiving experience is preferred, but not required.
• Valid Driver’s License free of major violations and accidents.
• Basic computer skills and ability to work with Excel Spreadsheets.
• Ability to prioritize and organize workflow to accomplish required tasks.
• Attention to detail and proficiency working with numbers.
• Ability to meet the demands of the job: standing, bending, stooping, moving for extended periods of time, lifting up to 50 lbs., in a warehouse environment which is subject to temperature changes not easily controlled by heating or air conditioning.
