Service Advisor Bus and Truck Center - Milford, DE
i.g. Burton Bus and Truck Center is searching for an experienced Service Advisor who is motivated to excel and serious about a career in the truck and transportation industry. If you have automotive or truck experience and are passionate about customer service, this opportunity is for you! This is a challenging position which requires attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task.
Job Responsibilities
• Answer phones and greet service customers in a pleasant and professional manner
• Handle phone inquiries and schedule appointments for service customers
• Help identify a mechanical problem by questioning the customer
• Provide customers a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.
• Check on progress of repairs throughout the day. Contact customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time and get proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
• Review repair orders to ensure that work is completed, and additional work and authorization is noted.
• Close repair order as appropriate and collect payment for all repair orders
• Maintain high customer satisfaction standards.
• Maintains a high level of knowledge for all manufacturer warranty coverages, campaigns, and product concerns.
Qualifications / Experience
Minimum of 2 years experience in a dealership setting is preferred, but will consider training the right person. Current or former technicians are encouraged to apply. You must have exceptional communication and typing skills and be computer literate. Familiarity with Excel and Word is preferred.
